Melt Electro Writing of PCL/ Milk Protein Blends:
Customers at University of Otago, Dunedin, NZ, conducted a study to print PCL/ Milk Protein blends using the Melt Electro Writing module of the GeSiM BioScaffold printer BS3.1. Milk proteins are supposed to increase the biological functionality of PCL. Background of this work: Demand for skin replacements is rapidly increasing as burn and full-thickness wounds are difficult to repair due to the low regeneration capability of innate tissues, as well as the physical drawbacks associated with currently available substitutes.
